Gracias al staff puedes disfrutar de una estancia maravillosa en este hostel, solo hace falta que vengas a pasarlo bien y despues todo es perfecto.
Siempre que pienso en rio pensare en el alpha hostel...

So friendly staff and nice people, I'm really happy for the week that I spent at Alpha hostel. The staff were very helpful with everything and the hostel has a great atmosphere. After a week it felt like being part of a big, latinamerican family.

a couple of problems with hot water, and having water cutting off halfway through a shower... otherwise, a great hostel!

the only minor thing is cleanliness of the kitchen & as guests we have a responsibility for that, our rooms were fine. a stay at alpha hostel guarantees you a fab experience, leo & angela treated us as old friends we will always remember & feel privileged to have met. Had we not stayed at alpha hostel, our trip to Rio would missed something very special, it felt like our home, i would recommend it. We love you & miss you. lots of love emma & pan xxx

Safe and not touristy neighborhood for those who want to see everyday life of locals rather than mixing up with tourists in the polished hotels in Copacabana. On the other hand it is very central,Copacabana is only 10min ride by bus,also the coach to the airport stops just across the road. Staff was very helpful, good mix of guests - fellow travelers and Brazilians. I had good time, so thank you!!! Vi, UK

Basically, the staff here are Rio's gift to the world! They are so considerate, helpful, fun, and will make you feel at home. Make sure to talk to the beautiful Micheline during her shift!
The location is optimal: you are midway between the center (to the North) and the beaches (to the South) and in a residential and VERY safe area. The metro and basically all buses pass through the neighborhood.
