Based on the location and price, I would highly recommend the Ast Hotel. It is a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. Ahmed and Reis are great and both speak English. The rooms are nice, big and comfortable. Each room has a private bathroom, which was nice. The breakfast is filling and good, but not great. There was a problem with the 10 percent paid to hostelworld, but this was resolved at checkout. Stay here if cost and location are most important.

Istanbul is a fantastic place full of interesting things to see , try and people to meet. The hotel left a fairly bad impression,it has a good location but the room was dusty, and the bathroom was filthy. They ignored the 10% deposit we payed upon booking, saying it is probably a agency fee (?????) and charged us the full amount.
