No dormitory

The is a wonderful property. It seems to be an old artisticratic family home. Tne rooms surround a large well cared for garden with an old tortise in residence. The rooms are large and comfortable. The whole place is spotlessly clean. It's close enought to walk to the main square, but far enough away to be peaceful. The staff was outstanding. They went out of their way to book us in great hostels in Puno and Cusco.

More of a hotel than a hostel, all rooms seem to have bathrooms and tvs. The central courtyard, with its well-kept lawn, is definitely a gem in the hectic city of Arequipa. Casa Avila is less than a ten minute (5 block) walk away from the Plaza de Armas, so dont listen to any taxi drivers who try to paint the location as dangerous, because its not. In sum, great and relaxing accommodations, but creating your own fun outside of La Casa is a requirement for a successful stay.

Staff were great, very friendly. Very clean hostel, with hot showers. Not right in the centre of town but is good walking distance, with a great fruit shop on the way.

good hotel to learn spanish,nice garden,a very quite and relaxed place warm showers and cable tv staff were kind and helpful floors were a bit noisey

We arrived in Arequipa earlier than planned and our original hostel was booked so we booked to stay here for 1 night only. We ended up cancelling our original hostel and stayed here the remainder of the time ansd wished it was longer. it is clean, beautiful and modern. It was more like a 3* hotel than a hostel. The garden and tortoise were great and Natalia the receptionist was amazingly helpful. Will always recommend!!
