I'm sorry but I arrived there and it smelled trash and nobody was in the reception for long time so I moved to other backpacker finally.
Hope you beware to this for other guests.

Holes in the sink, no pillow cases and the coversheet for the mattress was dirty as well as the blanket. Staff not really friendly.

Decent location (halfway between Queent St. and Parnell) and helpful staff, but since we stayed in a private and there is no common room, there was no real "hostel" atmosphere. Its pretty much keep to yourself unless you go knocking on doors.

good location, relatively clean, reasonable value for central auckland. no 24 hr check in tho which is a prob when you arrive from chile at 5am.

slightly confused by the description of what we were getting. Got a twin studio which was great to have an aray of cooking facilities. Kept very clean and key card access in lifts and to front door very useful. Internet was kinda off and on though. clean facilities generally clost to the CBD and bus stops. would definately stay there again

It smells funny from the entry way, by the lift, in the lift and the entry ways to all the dorms...

The friendly manager was the only bonus to this hostel - when you could find her! I was appalled that you had to calltext to get attention at the front desk - and using a mobile from England, this was not acceptable.
I stayed in the Hostel part of this accommodation (it also houses suites and studios), and it was more like a doss house for long term travellers who mainly worked in construction. Everone smoked inside, and the smell of that, as well as people cooking, drifted into my room.
