Perfect hostel in the middle of the town with a view over the bay at the back, just very very good.

nice little hostel with very friendly staff; some security might be better; a little too expensive for what you get: noisy beds, old matresses;
still, you feel to be welcome and might go there again when the weather is better

Really nice Hostel in that beautiful town. Staff was really nice and helped us at all questions we had. Go there!!! :-)

It was a bit irritating that the girl on the reception couldn't speak english well, but all in all, it was great. The rooms are big, bathrooms clean, common room cosy and the manager is definitely the heart of the hostel! Location is perfect if you are traveling by bus (bus stop is 2 foot steps away) and if you are traveling by car, there is a car park right in front of the hostel. This is the best hostel in Clifden.

Clifden Hostel staff is extremely helpful and friendly - whatever you need: ask him! The sitting room downstairs is especially nice with boardgames and a great view on main-street. Only two drawbacks: the kitchen is a bit shabby and not very clean. The more important thing: there are no locks antwhere on the room-doors and front door is open all day. Nothing got away, but it could have very easily. Otherwise the hostel is very cozy and charming, right in the "city" centre.
