mr teng and his wife are some of the most genuine and generous people you will meet in mayalsia. They are great hosts and are lots of fun and will help you with whatever you need the place itself is awesome has a great live band and bar the beer is awesome and they give you lockers if you are worried about your bags getting stolen but they shouldn't mr tent keeps a pretty good wrap on the place. Teng is a wonderful host and you'll enjoy your stay. But don't leave anything lying around. I left my towel drying, and someone stole it. Teng didn't care; didn't put up a notice or try to find it. He also didn't mention to me that buses would be booked out on the day of my departure until I was actually leaving. Also, there's no communal area except the bar, and it's pretty basic noisy, so if you're not into that, you probably won't like it. But I did.

bed was broken in the middle, very loud of night with terrible live music,
would not suggest for anyone to stay there..... wasnt really that cheap either.....

Inventory & staff is OK but the building is very old so do not expect cleanliness here. Location is perfect and you can walk up to the most tourist attractions by the river of Malacca. Also it was very nice to get free beer - they do not lie about it. :) Live band was also nice.
