Friendly but a bit starkly decorated in communal areas and just very quiet when we were there. But everything worked and showers were hot so no problem in practical terms.

It is really far from many places to see around Loch Ness. But it is good for piknick and other mountain activities :-)

Best hostel I've stayed in in Scotland. Peaceful, family friendly, spacious, clean and a lovely countryside location. Helpful staff. Highly recommended!!!

Staying at the hostel requires a walk of over 22 miles in one day if one walks from the hostel in Laggan-a long day. In other words the extra 4 miles from Invermoriston is a bummer. Hope this makes sense.
