Friendly, homely setup (the owners live there too). Compared to many other hostels we have stayed at, we think the general standard of the roomskitchen pretty low, especially for the room rate.

A little expensive but this is panama city and it was new years. Victor and Dinah were very helpful.

Hostal Panama is a nice and comfortable homestay-styled hostel in a good area in Panama City. The hostel owners were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find them patiently waiting for us at the airport eventhough our flight arrived several hours late. It was a clean and comfortable stay.

Hostel Panama consists of a few rooms in the house of a wonderfully friendly pair of hosts. Transportation from the hostel is quite easy: taxis are cheap and accessible and the $0.25 Diablo Rojos run every minute or so a few hundred meters away. Transportation TO the hostel was more challenging: you need to repeat at least 6 times to the cab driver that you are NOT going to HOTEL panama. Bring along a map to help him out when he gets lost.
