The best location for visiting Paris, great local restaurants etc, right next to the Pompidou Centre and a short attractive walk to the Louvre. Also good for Airport Charles de Gaul. The only downside is that there are some sex shops etc on the same street, which feels a bit seedy as a result.

Yes, there are those shops (and loiterers) outside, but there is also a lot of good restaurants and brasseries. I wouldn't feel safe to go out alone at night there, but with company it was OK. We found most of the staff very rude, but at least there was always someone at reception.
