The phone numbers work, call and confirm, the directions were perfect and there certainly were beds in the dormitories. It is definitely not at all dirty. The toilets and showers were cleaned and the kitchen was sufficiently clean. It is a little removed from central Berlin, but it is only a 15 minute metro ride to the center. The website clearly states that there is a 20 Euro key deposit which I was given back with no problems at the end of my stay.

We stayed for 4 nights -> no cleaning at all (toiletshowers!). Seems to be the gayest hostel in Berlin (acc. to newspaper article), no clue for free breakfast (no breakfast available at all), staff was really curious, room furnishing were really spare and shabby but the rooms were calm.

No serv as cant afford full-time staff.People had trouble checking inout.When staff were there they didnt do anything,seemed a chore for them to be there,they hope guests can read & clean up themselves.My advise is to leave early in the morn & return after 11 at night to avoid having to answer the persistent door bell & expl to guests that there is no service & that they wont get anyone on the numbers listed.Good luck!

reading comments from previous costumers i thought:"did they expect to stay in hilton or what?" so much complainning.i enjoied my staing there and people there were kind and helpfull.they appiered to be rude at first place but in the end i realised that in different cultures people x press themselves in different ways (and that is why they could apear rude while they r not.)i would recomment it for sure.the less u expect the better things are 4 u

The staff were unapprochable and seemed resentful of their guests, and imposed ridiculous rules that treated their guests like kindergarten children. (We are responsible 32 year old professionals). They blamed the inadequacies of their services (ie. rotten bathroom floor) on their guests in the form of bossy notes everywhere. Not recommended if you want a comfortable, clean, fun, relaxed environment.
