salmon hostel is a very confortable place and you will feel at home.good ambiance in the hostel and in the city.the staff is very friendly.

showers and shower heads could be improved

This was a ridiculously cute place to stay, and we got a space heater for our little room so it was *toasty!*

Condens (water) came from the ceiling and walls. Noisy hostel, especially our 'room' next to the bathroom. We had 4 walls, a ceiling and a small backbreaking bed. Some rooms don't even have a mirror or a chair. We wouldn't stay here again.

Good location, staff was very rude. We only were given one key for four people to share. You have to ring the doorbell and be let in by staff at all times during the day and they close between 11pm and 2am which is obviously a huge pain as you have to be back before 11 or commit to staying out until 2am. Bad policy.

i loved the character. i travelled around to a lot of different hostels and this one was easily memorable. i felt like i was roaming through the desert in an arabian caravan with all the finest luxuries the 1800s could offer. the fact that i could play music i chose myself from a very unique collection while i cooked was phantasmagorical.

Very dampness and cold place. No heating in room in DECEMBER!!!!!!!! Dampness covers in bed. No hot water in shower. STRONGLY dont recommend..

No heating system in the room : it was very cold especially in the end of november!!! The shower doesn't work correctly.. but the location was excellent to enjoy galway by night.
