Decent place to stay for trips to soraksan national park - inn is 1.9km away from entrance to national park. Owned by this korean couple who spoke abit of english and who was extremely helpful. Even offered us a ride to the bus terminal on our departure. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

It's also called 설악의아침 which is probably better for asking for directions if you get lost. I DID get lost and the owner(?) came to pick me up in his car. Really friendly staff and the location is alright - about 2km from the entrance of the national park and there are a few restaurants, and other stores just outside too.

Our room had no bed (we slept on blankets on the floor), the air conditioner was not working (in fact, they turned on the under-floor heat), and there was a giant, 1.5-inch wasp flying around until they gave me a can of bug spray and told me to deal with it myself. We canceled our second night and went home.

Having breakfast at the youth hostel would be much appreciated. The owners are very warm and helpful.
