Best Hostel i have stayed in ever, great start to my world trip i just hope the other hostels will be half as good.

It's a little hard to find. I missed the little sign from the main road. They should really have a bigger sign with bright arrows! But, other than it, it was a fantastic experience.

the guy who manages it is very helpful and friendly. the place is well located in one of those somehow charming old bejing neighbourhoods. however I think the place is kind of overated. rooms are next to the courtyard so it can be kind of noisy. the place is nice, just not a ninetysomething to me.

Ideal if you want to stay near the locals rather than in Western-styled Beijing

Good place to stay close to the sights and the staff where excellent, great location and easy to get where you want to go with the bus. Easy to find whit the directions given on the Hostelword site. Would stay here again.

Rick and his staff makes the hostel even better than it already is, with interesting tips of how to reach and enjoy the places we should see. The hostel itself is very comfortable, both bedrooms and living room. I really recommend the Courtyard House for anybody. The only setback is the way to the hostel, where the narrow streets makes you feel like you're going to be in trouble.. but this feeling actually goes away after you get used to this 'chinese alleys'.

Easily the best hostel I have ever stayed in.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms directly off covered courtyaard that also serves as reception and common room. Therefore not very private - can hear everything in commonroom from room and vice versa. Not noisy, just not very private. Hostel is close to forbidden city. Bus stops nearby. Not very close to trainsubway. Entrance is down alleyways. Would not like to walk down these at night on own.
