Despite location is out of the old city, it is not too far away from the excellent birds bar and the staff here is really great and helpful!! Made a lot of really good friends and enjoyed the time in the hostel! Thanks all!

Dave, Song and all the staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make your stay really enjoyable. I highly recommend booking the van through them to take you around the lake and visit all the markets and villages. Common areas are great to meet other travellers as well as the all you can eat hot pot night. Rooms are spacious and clean. About 5-10 min walk to main area. Great place! Highly recommend staying here!

right next to the scenic Old Dali. Very nice staff- the owner greeted us when we walked in the door and as we left the next day remembered all of our names. The hostel is really nice especially compared to others in Yunan that I\'ve stayed at. the walls are thicker with better insulation which makes a huge difference. The space heaters in the rooms were nice but maybe the addition of electric blankets could be nice for winter time travelers. Nothing bad about the place at all though!

Great place to stay. No objections. Just a few minutes walk to the old town, clean, friendly staff.. Perfect. In case we come to Dali sometime, will stay again.

The staff was wonderful. Excellent value. Great location. If we ever go back to Dali we will DEFINITELY stay at Jade Emu.

Can be noisy at times. One night guests were up shooting pool until after 1 and making noise. Other night was much quieter.

Very helpful staff and owners that went out of their way to help with bookings of air and bus tickets, meals, etc. Very clean and accessible to the old town. Lovely rooms. Highly recommended and will definitely come back again!
