I would stay there again, and recommend it to friends...But their advertised free internet is not free anymore. Need a pre-pay card.

Most of the pots in the kitchen are unuseable because they are burnt or have an unevenbattered bottom. A sign beside the hobs saying they get very hot may help prevent the pots burning!

Was a nice Hostel and I got a very nice room with an own toilet and shower. I had the impression that the people care about the details.

A very good value hostel, which is nicely run and decorated. It's not too far from central Kaikoura, although is a bit further from some local attractions. The attractions in Kaikoura are quite spread out though, so no one location will be ideal for everything. One small criticism is that there could be more storage in the rooms, e.g. a small bedside cabinet would be a real help.
