Nice hostel. Good location and nice building. Bit further is a very nice beach. Not that many people who spook English when i was there but after all very nice and relaxing place

This hostel is an excellent place to winddown and relax in China, The univesity campus and ocean front with in walking distance help keep the pace relaxed. Plenty of coffee and western food close by if needed as well as local quisine. I connected well with staff, There are generally more Chinese than foriegners here and that too was a great experience for me. Loved it!

If you don't speak Chinese, you might have trouble at this hostel, as my experience was that the English level of the staff was poor. And forget about getting directions from the staff. The location was pretty good, fairly close to a pretty nice beach.

Probably the worst staff ever encountered in a youth hostel ever. Felt very unwelcome, made us pack our things and leave after one night. But otherwise its a good enough place if you stay in Xiamen, but I suggest you take the ferry and head to Gulang Yu instead, where there are much better alternatives.
