Alpha Hostel was a gorgeous place to stay, with good sized rooms, a lovely common area, fantastic breakfasts and the nicest staff in the world. I would go there again in a heartbeat!

Location is great but taxi drivers do not know the street...Staff is very helpful and nice, excelent breakfast and cleanliness.

This hostel has a very good situation, close to the beach and to buses to downtown. It is very pleasant, small and quiet.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Alpha Hostel. The staff knew everyone by name and were incredibly helpfull in recommending activities and providing information to explore the best that Salvador has to offer.
The location is a little bit tricky, but it proves to be a central spot to explore Barra and beyond.
The accomodations are basic, but very clean.
I would stay with them again in a heartbeat.

A great hostel in a good location close to the beach, the road it is on may appear at first to be slightly dodgy but it is perfectly safe and the local people who live on it appear very friendly. Great breakfast and common areas.
