It was good that breakfast was supplied and use of the internet. Plenty of showers. Good that security lockers provided in rooms and also a luggage room. Didn't really feel safe in the area especially when there was commotion between some guys one night on the street. Wasn't overly far from main places.

Love this place second time around- just cant disappoint me!

Quite a large hostel but the staff were very friendly. the room i was in was pretty small but the beds were large. it is sort of within walking distance to the shopping area but not really that close to touristy sites but there are bus stops nearby. san fran is a pretty cool place

Its an older hostel but is still very clean. The food is yummy and the location is great.

excellent Friday dinner

Great party place. Keg night. Location is excellent for bars & restaurants, right between China town & little Itally. There are a lot of strip clubs on the street. The neigborhood isn't super sleazy, but it isn't exactly familly friendly either.

Drinking game night is fun..free beer. Free breakfast which is just ok bagels and bananas. However, the free dinners are really good. The blankets on the bed could be washed a bit more but for the most part the place is clean. Very low key, fun hostel, has an Amsterdam like relaxed charm to it. Great for backpackers and young people. If you are looking for a classy resort spot, this is not the place for you. But if you are outgoing, low maintenance and chill you will love this place.

Great location for access to all the sites.

This is a hippie hostel with a vibrant atmosphere that you either like or dislike. The hostel is full of eccentric (or just strange) individuals; the staff fits the same category. In the evenings the place turns into a boisterous pub full of drinks, drugs and laughters. There are lots of free things, foods and services to keep you satisfied if you are in the mood for socializing. This is not really a place to stay quietly on your own.
