The village of Espinosa de los Monteros has 2000 inhabitants and has all the main services, with many bars and restaurants. It has a rich history and the last nomadic village in Spain lives here: the pasiegos. We offer you a wide selection of adventure activities such as paintball, climbing, potholing, paragliding, rafting, etc. The northern area of the municipality, right in the Cantábrica Mountain Range, is the most interesting to practice mountain climbing. Due to the lack of marked paths, the changeable weather and the dangerous and complex relief, the hard ascent to La Churra, Peña Lusa and the mythical ascent to Castro Valnera summit are reserved only to experienced climbers. The rest of us will merely get near this beauitful pasiego environment to contemplate the stunning landscape. If you are looking for signposted routes, you will find them within the wide path network of Ojo Guareña Natural Monument24hs access. Reception open from 10.00am to 8.00pm. The staff spend the night in the hostel.
