This small family run hotel is in the very center of Granada, Nicaragua, some 50 yards from the Convento San Francisco in a quiet and safe area of the city. Local tourist attractions are easily accessible. A popular favourite with both locals and tourists; the Calzada is a bustling boulevard of pubs and restaurants, only a 5 minute walk from the hotel, located right beside the town square.Run by an Italian family who speak 5 languages, guests will feel right at home in a warm family environment. The Hotel offers 5 rooms with en suite bathroom and 21' TV, and there is a small kitchen in the guest quarters with all the necessary pots and pans for the use of the Hotel guests.The hotel rooms; impeccably clean and freshly decorated with handmade Nicaraguan furniture, look onto a feast of tropical plants in their own personal back yard jungle.In the front of the Hotel there is a communal area where local beer, fresh cocktails and spirits may be bought. Wi-fi is also available. 42' television is provided in the bar where guests can choose from 100 channels in both English and Spanish. A DVD player and a large selection of DVDs is provided.Il Padrino provides a unique and personal experience for guests who are looking for more than a hostel or hotel, but a place that provides all the comforts of home.Shortly we shall be opening a restaurant serving principally Italian food. All the guests for the session shall be seated at a large table - La mesa del Padrino (which in Spanish means the Godfather's table) so that they will be able to get to know each other while they sample our cooking at leisure. The menu is fixed for the day and several different courses shall be served. Consult us for the menus via e-mail or pop in and ask us. Food will be served on a Wedenesday, Friday and Saturday night. There is a fixed charge of 400C$ (equivalent to about 18$) which does not include beverages. If you have special dietary needs, we shall be delighted to help if we can.
